October 23. / 24. / 30., 14:00 - 19:00
Join my dear teacher Cilla Weisman, who I met in 2019/2020, in my last 300h teacher training in India. She was part of the teacher team there and taught us Asana classes, Yoga Nidra and much more. Since I came home from India and Covid started, I join and practice with her online several times a week, Tantric Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Pranayama and Yoga Nidra. I’m super grateful that I can continuously learn from her, practice with her and gain new inspiration. My whole practice and knowledge gained a much deeper level since then. Since last year I planned to visit her in Puerto Rico, where she’s based at the moment, to practice with her and tune into further trainings like a Yoga Nidra training. But due to the well known situation travel wasn’t possible.
Now, I’m even more exciting to take her training online, and for you, to get the chance to practice and learn from her as well in this Yoga Nidra training that she will offer online.
What is Yoga Nidra:
Yoga Nidra is a powerful guided technique that utilizes the restorative powers of sleep with a deeper awareness in order to explore, understand, and expand our subconscious and unconscious mind. Nidra means “sleep” in sanskrit, but in Yoga Nidra, or “psychic sleep”, we are not really sleeping, but rather reaching a relaxed state of consciousness that is in between wakefulness and sleep.
This ancient Tantric method induces physical, mental and emotional relaxation, while the “self” remains awake and aware- and all we need to do is lie down, close our eyes and listen! Yoga Nidra helps still the fluctuations of the mind, which allows us to experience our true nature. While there are many physical benefits, when we are able to clear out some of our mental and emotional baggage, it can lead us toward greater fulfillment and joy, regardless of our physical condition.
This powerful practice is accessible to anyone, quickly taking us deeper into the subtle dimensions, with greater ease than many other yogic techniques. By becoming deeply relaxed and guided through the Koshas, or sheaths that veil who we are, we are able to discover that part of us beyond the mind and body, our true essence. When we are able to experience and connect more with our essence, we can realize our limitless potential. With practice it helps us release the tensions and conditioning that no longer serve us, so we can live with more ease and a greater sense of purpose and connection. Not quite sleep, not quite meditation, Yoga Nidra is it’s own unique practice that combines relaxation with internal awareness for positive transformation.
For whom is this training:
Whether you want to dive deeper into your own understanding of Yoga Nidra or begin to share this practice with others- this course is for you!
We scheduled live session on zoom, so that we could still come together and have the ability to interact like we would in a class room together. Yoga Nidra is a wonderful practice to be able to share during this time. Participants close their eyes, and only need to listen to your voice— so it’s great to share virtually and detrimental during times of excessive stress and uncertainty.
