Workshop descriptions:
As yoga practitioners we assume poses and familiarize ourselves with their Sanskrit names like Hanumanasana (splits) and chakrasana (wheel) without fully understanding the meaning behind it. Myths of the Asanas allows us to delve deeper into the roots of the spiritual tradition by learning the stories behind the postures, thus increasing mental and spiritual benefits beyond just the physical.
Saturday, October 2nd, 10:00 - 12:00 - Myths of the Asanas
Take a journey into the pages of the Mahabharata and Ramayana- India’s sacred texts through movement and story-telling in order to enhance your yogic path. This 2 hour Vinyasa Flow workshop allows us to bridge the wisdom of the ancient stories to modern day lessons that we can practically apply to our daily lives.
